The roses keep going for months, some of them into autumn; the irises are here only for a few days. So they have to try harder.
I think these are not the same flower, but they may be. The difference is the angle of the light.

I think the thing I like best about your flower pictures other than the flowers themselves is the fact that it helps me to identify the flowers that I've photographed.
