Kikuta-san, R.I.P. · I don’t think many this side of the Pacific will notice, but I’d like to take a moment to note with sorrow the sudden death of Kikuta Masahiro, an independent thinker and independent businessman, founder and CEO of Synergy Incubate, a genial guest and gracious host. We ate and drank well and laughed lots together, both sides of the Pacific; my sympathy goes out to Mrs. Kikuta Yasuyo. The world in general and Japan in particular could use more like them.
