Well, the rhyme with “showers” predicts the flowers in May, but we've got 'em now, here's the evidence.
This tree is my favorite, I love it almost indecently, it's at its best this week, the sprinkling of pale pink leaves on green moss below is way beautiful, but too subtle for a camera, at least for this poor excuse for one.
Around the back lawn we have tulips, most of them deep violet but a few more cheerful like the one above, seen below with a few of its deep-purple colleagues.
